The mission of the Valley Quilt Guild is the long-term commitment and devotion to the art of quilting through the sharing of skills, ideas, and knowledge of quilt making and through the participation in community service programs.
Our purpose is to perpetuate the art of quilt making by creating an atmosphere of fun and fellowship while providing programs of education and skills of quilt making. We encourage our members to share their skills and expertise with others. We want to share this history with the community.
Through our education program, we provide workshops to teach members and other interested individuals various quilting techniques such as appliqué, paper piecing, and patchwork-style quilt making.
A part of our community outreach, members provide quilts to various organizations such as Quilts of Valor, Group Homes, the Red Cross and more.
We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month, except December, at First United Church of Christ, 201 Fair Avenue NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663. The meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome. The annual dues are $25.00 for June through May with a prorated amount for a partial year for new members.
